Let’s start with the basics. Why use sea moss?

By now, you may know that sea moss is considered a superfood. This is largely due to its vitamin, mineral, and fiber content. Sea moss is also known as Irish moss, or carrageen moss, and has been around for centuries. You can find sea moss sold as a powder, gel, or supplement.

Adding sea moss to your smoothie will make it much more powerful, as it will contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.

What about soursop?

You are not alone if you have never heard of soursop. Also known as graviola, this tasty fruit is nutrient-dense, providing a good amount of fiber and vitamin C. The texture of soursop is creamy and it has a strong flavor that resembles pineapple or strawberry.

Soursop is low in calories but high in nutrients like fiber, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, and thiamine. In many cultures, the fruit is eaten raw, but it can also be sold commercially as a medicine or skincare item.

Making the smoothie!

Now that you know what sea moss and soursop are, all you have left to do is adding the minced ginger, cinnamon, lemon juice, honey or agave, and water. You can replace these with things like ground ginger, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, lime juice, and cane sugar.

All that is left to do is place everything in a blender and combine everything until it is smooth. If you prefer to, use a strainer to remove the extra pulp.

Drink this smoothie in the morning, as a snack, or for a pick-me-up during work hours!
