Ingredients

  • 4 strawberries (fresh)

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk

  • 4 ice cubes

  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar (optional)

Directions

  • Add strawberries and banana to your blender
  • Add milk
  • Add ice cubes
  • Blend until you reach a nice smoothie consistency
  • Optional: Add sugar to taste and blend for another minute

Notes

  • You can use either fresh or frozen strawberries for this recipe. If you are using fresh strawberries, wash them slightly before adding them to the blender.
  • Frozen strawberries can go straight from the freezer and into the blender.
  • You can also use frozen bananas for this recipe – just make sure you peel and slice the banana up before freezing it.
  • Personally, if I use frozen strawberries or banana slices, I do not add the ice cubes. If you want a thinner consistency, you can add some more milk or some purified water.
