Ingredients

  • 3 ice cubes

  • 2 oz beet(root)

  • 3 1/2 oz raspberries (fresh)

  • 3 1/2 oz blueberries (fresh) (plus some for decoration)

Directions

  • Add ice cubes to the blender
  • Juice the beet(root) and add to the blender
  • Add the blueberries and raspberries
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour into a glass and decorate with some additional blueberries

Notes

  • Ice cubes can water down the smoothie slightly. I often use frozen berries instead of fresh for this reason.

    So, if you prefer, you can replace the fresh berries with frozen berries. This will chill your smoothie and also help to make it slightly more creamy.
