We like to add blueberries, raspberries and blackberries to our smoothie. All these three berries are full of both antioxidants and fiber which makes this smoothie a detox winner.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz mixed berries (i.e. blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (preferably unsweetened)

  • 1 cup purified water

  • 1/8 cup rolled oats

Directions

  • Add the mixed berries to your blender
  • Add the rolled oats
  • Pour over the coconut milk and purified water
  • Blend well until you reach a smoothie consistency
  • Pour into a suitable drinking container
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use either fresh or frozen berries for this recipe. If you are using a fresh berry mix, wash the berries slightly before adding them to the blender.

    Frozen berries can go straight from the freezer and into the blender.

    For a slightly thicker and creamier smoothie, hold back some of the purified water.

    If I use fresh berries, I like to hold back just a few and sprinkle them on top once the smoothie has been poured into a glass.
