Ingredients

  • 3/4 inch ginger (grated)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (ground)

  • 7 oz spinach (fresh)

  • 1 cup purified water

Directions

  • Peel and grate the ginger
  • Add spinach, cinnamon, ginger (see note below) and water to the blender
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour into a suitable glass and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to grate your ginger really finely so you don’t end up chewing on raw ginger bits.

I usually use a garlic grater to reduce my ginger to a “paste” consistency.

The heat in a ginger may vary, so don’t add all the ginger in at once. I usually put in 1/2 to 2/3 of the ginger, blend and taste.

If I feel like a “hotter” smoothie, I will add some more ginger, pulse a few times and taste again.
